Jim uses some words and terms that are unique to his show.

Familiarity with his jargon will add to your enjoyment of the show, so here's an explanation of 'Jim-speak' you'll hear on the air:

Beach Boys - in Jim's opinion, the most amazing musical group in musical history.  If it appears to be used out of context, it is an expression of high praise.

Bonehead - a member of Yale's super-secretive 'Skull & Bones' society.

Boot camp - 8 to 12 weeks of sheer terror in which one is forced to experience a new paradigm in approach to one's life.  Usually relates to Jim's Marine Corps boot camp experiences, but can relate to any life-altering and life-challenging event.

Clinton happens - remember the movie "Forrest Gump"?  Remember when Forrest was running and had mud splashed on him and a man running along side him handed him a yellow shirt to wipe the mud off with?  Remember when Forrest said "Well, it happens..." and the man replied with something along the lines of "What happens? S***?"  OK...you've got the picture.

Conservative - one displaying keen intellect, amazing clarity of thought, and an understanding of the proper role of government as described by the Founding Fathers  (also see Jim Sumpter).

Conspiranoids - those who see shadows where there is light, experience paranoia where there is joy, and have an irrational fear of anything that involves any number of people above two.

Democrat - see ditwad; also see liberal.

Ditwad - an amalgamation of two words - ditzy and wad.  Basically, it just means someone, usually a nationally elected office holder who should know better, who appears not to have a clue.

ELF - Jim refers to this group of misguided activists by the purer, more correct term "Evironmental Leftist Freaks".

Founce - another amalgamation of two words:  feminine and bounce.  Jim uses it to describe the way feminized men giddily bounce as they walk.

Fusstrated - another amalgation of two words - fussing and frustrated.  Used when Jim is railing about something dumb that's happened or that someone (usually a politician) has done that is way beyond anything that makes sense and has no apparent way of easily making right.

GAA - The 'Give America Away' party.  Jim maintains we only have one national political party - the GAA party and their members are intent upon implementing a globalist agenda for the purposes of destroying the sovereignty of the USA, allowing an illegal invasion into our country and its corresponding denigration of our quality of life, the redistribution of wealth from people of the United States of America in an effort to bring America's standard of living and wages down, thereby creating a more 'equitable' system worldwide.  Yes, it's just as stooopid as it sounds, but the elected elite are intent upon making it a reality.  Despite its stated lofty goals, in reality, it's all about cheap labor and cheap votes benefiting the big business supporters of the Republican wing of the GAA party and cheap votes that benefit the Democratic wing of the GAA party.  In the end, the American people get the 'bird'.

Gay - happy, carefee, devoid of worry or angst.  Jim occasionally points out that he is a gay man who is NOT a homosexual.

Jim Sumpter - see Conservative.

Just a guy with a microphone - not a put-down of Jim's knowledge nor a self-deprecating commentary; rather, this phrase is utilized by Jim to point out the absurdity of thoughts and actions on the part of elected officials, who against their better judgment and knowledge, do that which they know in their heart and head is not best for the country.  An example of its use would be something like "...hey, if I can figure this out and I'm just a guy with a microphone, what's with these ditwads in Washington, DC that they're so intent on doing that which they know to be wrong?".

Liberal - a viewpoint or approach to life that makes absolutely no sense.  Also see ditwad.

Man - an archaic 60s/70s reference to a friend or acquaintance that sounds really dumb coming from the mouth of one as old as Jim.  Usually followed closely by the words "You've got to be kidding me...did I really just say 'man'?"

Motorcycle - a two-wheeled motorized vehicle, the love of which, instills a passion in Jim almost equal to that which he feels for surfing.

Politician - most of the time, see ditwad.  Occasionally, see Conservative.

Republican - a political approach that, in its purest form, is eminently organized, sensical, and epitomizes the proper role of government. Unfortunately, its party principles, as contained and represented in the Republican Party Platform, have been sacrificed by the elite party establishment - whose true beliefs and actions have little or nothing in common with the the principles of the Republican party (see RINO).

RINO - one who claims membership in the Republican political party, yet subscribes to none or very few of the principles of the Republican Party Platform; a republican in name only. Examples include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Colin Powell, George Bush (both father and son), Orrin Hatch, and just about every other nationally elected office holder claiming to be a Republican.

Surf, surfin', surfing - Jim's all-time favorite participatory sport.  If you've never taken a six foot drop, bottom-turned and floated off the top, there's just no way to accurately describe the exhilaration the sport brings into your life.

The Great Unwashed - those of us who are not nationally elected office holders (i.e., have not become ditwads), but rather are still thinking with a clear head about what's best for America.  People like you and Jim.

The University of Science, Medicine and Culture - Jim's facetious reference to the United States Marine Corps, usually referenced when Jim says the individual letters U-S-M-C.  Jim sometimes refers to his post-graduate EE degree (Experience and Exposure) from the School of Hard Knocks and Continual Opportunity - located as a satellite campus of the U-S-M-C in Jim's town of residence.

Wimpdumb - a combination of the word wimp and the suffix -dom; but when Jim said it on the air, it came out wimpdumb and it stuck.  What man is dumb enough to be a wimp and when did being a wimp become so fashionable?
