Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, and Mitt Romney have all declined to attend the Newsmax sponsored Republican debate to be moderated by Donald Trump.
In case you’re not familiar with Newsmax, it’s a conservative-leaning news web site. The way Mr. Trump became moderator of the debate was at the request of Newsmax.
Suddenly pundits pontificated on the inappropriateness of a ‘reality television show star’ hosting a political debate, as though Mr. Trump were somehow of a lower class than the political elite made up of this field of candidates.
Who could rank lower in public perception than politicians is the question that begs to be asked.
I’d like to hear someone – especially Trump – ask the questions no one in Big Media will ask. And I’d love to hear the answers.
